Guy Ciarrocchi, Chief of Staff for Congressmen Jim Gerlach addresses The Magellan Group

Guy currently serves as Chief of Staff to Congressman Jim Gerlach. In this role, Guy serves as the Congressman’s primary advisor and oversees the Congressman’s staff and budget for his offices in southeastern PA and Washington, DC.

Prior to joining the Congressman’s staff, Guy was appointed by US Housing & Urban Development (HUD) Secretary, Alphonso Jackson, to serve as the Regional Director for the mid-atlantic states. In this role, Guy was responsible for over 700 employees serving in 7 offices in 5 states and the District of Columbia. Each year, HUD awarded and administered approximately $13 billion dollars in grants, loans and support staff across the region. During his tenure, Guy had two priorities: increasing homeownership; and, educating consumers against ‘predatory lenders.”

From 1996 until the start of 2004, Guy served as the Director of Public Affairs for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia. In that position, he was the primary government and community affairs advisor to the Cardinal-Archbishop of the Philadelphia Archdiocese, which serves nearly 1.5 million Catholics in Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs. Additionally, he was the primary representative to federal, state and local officials on behalf of the Archdiocese, which educates over 110,000 students and is the largest provider of social services in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining the Archdiocese, Guy served as Chief-Of-Staff and Counsel to State Senator Melissa Hart. Guy also served during that time as Executive Director of the Senate Finance Committee, which was chaired by Senator Hart.

After graduating from Villanova Law School, Guy was appointed as a Deputy Attorney General for Pennsylvania working in the Criminal Appeals section.

Guy’s work in public service began in 1987, as the Chester County Commissioner’s Planning Liaison.

Guy has been active in numerous community and volunteer programs including serving as a township supervisor and coaching little league softball and baseball, as well as soccer. He has served on several state-wide, regional, county and locals boards for government agencies, non-profits and quasi-governmental agencies.

Guy and his wife, Christine, have three children and reside in Paoli, Pennsylvania.
