September 01, 2009 nControl approved as a Member Organization of the Health Information Trust (HITRUST) Alliance nControl, a Compliance and Privacy consulting firm, today announced its membership in the Health Information Trust (HITRUST) Alliance, a collaboration of healthcare, business, technology and information security leaders committed to the secure access, storage and exchange of personal health information. nControl will deliver services to aid in the adoption of the HITRUST Common Security Framework (CSF), the first IT security control framework developed for healthcare information. The HITRUST CSF offers a practical, affordable and consistent means for healthcare organizations to implement strong security programs for the protection of patient information. It also enables these organizations to effectively respond to such regulations as The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, HIPAA, ISO and others.
