Lorraine Ranalli speaks to The Magellan Group regarding effective Executive Communications Skills
With over twenty years experience in the field of Communication as a broadcaster, published author, and coach, Lorraine has worked with organizations to develop from the ground up uniquely tailored marketing and communication strategies. Her passion for the art and science of effective communication is not only evident in her PR and marketing efforts but also in her Speaking for Success and Business Writing That Works seminars and workshops.
BE ODD®
Write first, think later, and leap toward productivity. BE ODD® is Lorraine's simple and effective five-step method for breaking writer's block and overcoming writing anxieties. Because writing can be time consuming and frustrating, many of us give up before we even get started. With more and more of us communicating through e-mail, however, writing is a necessity, and good writing is a commodity. Well-written communiqués give us an edge in business and improve our bottom line.
Business Writing That Works
Write for revenue. Discover the difference in your organization when written communication is clear, concise, and correct. Business Writing that Works emphasizes the importance of proper grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure. You'll have an opportunity to share writing challenges and practice strategies to effectively convey your messages.
Speaking for Success Research shows that most people would rather die than speak in public. Speaking for Success is an interactive program that empowers participants to not only overcome nervousness but also present themselves with confidence. This high-energy workshop focuses on body language, the importance of strong listening skills, making excellent first impressions, editing conversation, and using vocal variety to add impact to presentations.
Some of Lorraine’s clients have included: Wilmington Trust Company, Widener University Graduate Studies Program, ViroPharma, SoftMart, Oliver Heating and Cooling, Employees of Chester County, Delaware County Chamber of Commerce

About Lorraine:
While attending Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa., Lorraine turned an internship at Hammonton N.J.'s WTYO into a paying radio gig, landing positions as a newscaster and disc jockey. She went on to earn her Bachelor's in English/Communications and Master's in Education.
Within a short time, Lorraine began what would become an 18-year tenure at Shadow Traffic (now called Metro Broadcast Services) reporting traffic conditions, news, and entertainment for a myriad of Philadelphia radio and TV stations, most notably All-News Radio KYW, The Big Talker 1210, B101, KYW-3, WPVI-Ch. 6, and Fox 29.
Having moonlighted as a copywriter throughout her career, Lorraine established a marketing and public relations consulting business, PR Coordinates. Now, Lorraine consults as a communication specialist and coach, conducting business writing and public speaking workshops.
